Frontline Tank / Melee DPS -- Shield your allies with an iron will, carve through enemies with your blade
The Swordsman is one of Midgard's most fundamental melee classes, renowned for outstanding survivability and consistent physical damage output. As the frontline core of any party, the Swordsman draws monster aggro through Provoke, protecting backline DPS and support classes. Upon reaching Job Level 40, Swordsmen can advance to become a Knight, specializing in high defense and mounted combat, or a Crusader, excelling in holy attacks and team protection. Whichever path you choose, the Swordsman will always be the most trusted ally on the battlefield.
Centered on AGI, this build pairs one-handed swords with extreme attack speed. High ASPD triggers frequent Bash procs for bonus damage, while Endure allows you to charge through the enemy frontline. Offers excellent mobility, ideal for mid-line damage output, though survivability is lower than the VIT build.
Focused on VIT+STR, this build stacks high defense and HP to become the party's sturdiest shield. Use Provoke to control aggro and Endure to resist crowd control, while dealing damage through Counter and Bash. The essential main tank for all high-level party content.
Ranged Magic DPS -- Harness the power of fire, ice, and lightning to devastate the battlefield
The Mage is a spellcaster who commands the elemental forces, boasting the highest magical burst damage of any class. Proficient in fire, ice, and lightning magic, Mages can adapt their elemental combinations to counter any combat scenario. Upon reaching Job Level 40, Mages can advance to become a Wizard, specializing in mass area destruction, or a Sage, focusing on elemental matchups and field control. A well-equipped Mage can wipe out entire groups of monsters in an instant, making them an absolute core in both farming and PvP.
Centered on fire magic, this build uses Fire Bolt for high single-target damage, combined with Fire Wall and Fire Pillar to unleash massive damage in a short window. Excels against Earth and Undead monsters, performing exceptionally well in PvE and boss encounters.
Combining ice and lightning magic, Storm Gust deals massive AoE ice damage with a freeze effect, while Lord of Vermilion deals bonus damage to frozen targets. Balances control and damage, making this build the control core in large-scale PvP and party content.
Ranged Physical DPS -- A sharpshooter who never misses, winning through precision and speed

Thanks to their extremely long attack range and excellent mobility, Archers can continuously deal damage from a safe position. Upon reaching Job Level 40, Archers can advance to become a Hunter, mastering traps and falcon coordination, or a Bard/Dancer, providing powerful team-wide buffs. Whether solo leveling or in party dungeons, the Archer is always an efficient choice.
Centered on AGI, this build pursues extreme attack speed and dodge rate. High ASPD triggers frequent Double Strafe procs, while Vulture's Eye's extended range allows safe, sustained DPS. Straightforward and easy to play, it is the ideal choice for new players and excels in solo leveling.
Centered on INT+DEX, this build uses various elemental traps for damage. Ankle Snare roots enemies, Sliding Trap knocks them back, and Blast Mine delivers high-damage AoE. Through skillful trap placement, you control the battlefield. Excels in PvP and party dungeons with outstanding zone control capabilities.
Healer / Support -- Heal wounds with holy power, bringing light and hope to your allies
The Acolyte is an indispensable healing and support role in any party, capable of using holy power to heal allies, apply buffs, and dispel debuffs. Even at the first job stage, Acolytes are among the most sought-after members in any party. Upon reaching Job Level 40, Acolytes can advance to become a Priest, enhancing healing and holy protection abilities, or a Monk, specializing in devastating melee burst damage. Notably, the Acolyte class line possesses the only resurrection skill in the game, making their strategic value in party dungeons irreplaceable.
Full INT investment maximizes Heal potency. Combined with Blessing and Increase AGI, this build provides comprehensive buff protection for the entire party. Assumptio and Safety Wall can save the entire team's life in critical moments. This is the entry ticket to all high-difficulty party dungeons.
An unconventional combat Priest build. STR+AGI investment grants respectable melee damage output. Self-buff with Blessing and Increase AGI, while Heal keeps you self-sufficient. Ideal for solo adventurers -- capable of both dealing damage and healing, with exceptional survivability.
The classic Monk stat allocation. STR ensures physical damage, INT raises max SP and Asura Strike damage, and DEX reduces skill delay. Chain Combo and Raging Thrust build up Spirit Spheres, culminating in a devastating Asura Strike that can obliterate enemies in a single blow.
An alternative Monk build focused on AGI. High attack speed rapidly accumulates Spirit Spheres, shortening the gap between combo chains. While per-hit damage is lower than the traditional build, sustained DPS is more consistent. Delivers surprisingly strong results in prolonged combat.
Economy / Melee -- Where wealth meets strength, a versatile force on the battlefield
The Merchant is one of RO's most unique classes, featuring a distinctive commerce skill system. Discount and Overcharge provide natural advantages in economic activities, while Cart Revolution and Mammonite grant surprising combat power. Upon reaching Job Level 40, Merchants can advance to become a Blacksmith, specializing in weapon forging, or an Alchemist, mastering potion throwing and alchemy. The Merchant may seem unassuming, but their combat potential should never be underestimated.
A build focused on weapon forging and commerce. High DEX and LUK increase forging success rates, and maxed Weapon Research can produce weapons with random bonus stats. This build occupies a core position in the economy, serving as the gatekeeper of the server's weapon market.
A combat-oriented build. STR provides high physical attack while AGI boosts attack speed and dodge. Hammerfall and Adrenaline Rush deliver powerful AoE damage, and Cart Revolution hits astonishingly hard when the cart is fully loaded. A versatile character excelling in both combat and commerce.
Centered on INT, this build uses Potion Throw for fixed defense-ignoring damage. Combined with a summoned Homunculus for coordinated combat, the Homunculus can evolve to gain powerful skills. Chemical Protection permanently shields weapons from destruction and stripping, making this a powerful tool in PvP.
A balanced build that covers both combat and potion crafting. While maintaining basic combat capability, you can earn substantial income by producing various potions and chemical protection items. Ideal for casual players who enjoy multifaceted gameplay.
Melee Assassin -- Strike from the shadows, tearing through enemies with poisoned blades and critical hits
The Thief is a combat expert who wields speed and cunning, renowned for extremely high attack speed and dodge rate. Hiding and Envenom grant the Thief unique tactical options. Upon reaching Job Level 40, Thieves can advance to become an Assassin, mastering deadly poison techniques and critical strikes, or a Rogue, specializing in skill plagiarism and equipment disruption. In PvP, the Thief class line possesses incredibly high solo-kill potential, making them the most feared adversary for many players.
With high AGI paired with LUK to boost critical rate, combined with Deadly Poison's critical damage bonus, every attack can trigger a devastating critical strike. The Katar's innate critical rate doubling makes this build possess the highest crit output of any class. Simple and devastating, it is a PvE farming machine.
A dual-wielding Assassin build that leverages Double Attack's high proc rate for sustained DPS. Envenom adds poison-element damage, dealing bonus damage to certain monster types. Combined with Sonic Blow for burst damage, this build balances sustained damage and burst potential.
Fully utilizes Plagiarism to copy core skills from other classes, combined with the Rogue's own Hiding and trap abilities, creating endlessly varied tactical combinations. Strip Equipment can instantly dismantle an opponent's combat capability in PvP. An unpredictable tactical master.
